Booking an Appointment

All applicants have to make an appointment, prior to coming for the test. Please note that walk in appointments will not be accepted.

Please note that we will need your passport number to make an appointment.

General Advice Regarding Health Assessments

  1. For your physical examination during the health assessment, Examining Physician will request you to take off all clothes except your underwear. You will be provided a gown to wear and you will be examined in a respectful manner as per medical ethics.
  2. You may request a chaperon to be present during your physical examination, especially if you are to be examined by a physician of the opposite sex.
  3. Do not conceal medical conditions. Deliberate attempts to hide them will be reported to the recipient countries. The absolute majority of medical conditions are admissible, though some may require additional tests.
  4. Do not conceal pregnancy. Pregnancy will not affect your immigration prospects.
  5. Women are advised to avoid health assessment during menstruation as it may affect results of the urine test.
  6. Postpone or re-schedule your appointment if you or your children are ill with fever or rash.
  7. Health case Submissions and Furtherance related inquires would be responded between 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM

Please note that there are no parking facilities onsite.


Furthermore, only the applicant will be allowed into the premises.

On the Day of Your Appointment: UK TB

Please note down the following documents which you will need to bring for your appointment:

  1. Your Original Passport.
  2. One photocopy of the bio-data page of your passport.
  3. 2 recent passport-size color photographs with white color background.
  4. Original NIC or Valid driving license.
  5. If you have any past medical records specially relevant to chest diseases, please bring them with you.
  6. Children less than 16 years old will need to bring their original birth certificate and a photocopy of the birth certificate.
  7. Children less than 18 years old should be accompanied by their parents/ guardian.
  8. If parent is absent the guardian should have a legal authorization letter.

Kindly be open and honest about your health when meeting the panel physician as this will best help the outcome for you, your community of origin and destination.

Also please bring the following details, clearly written down on a paper:

  1. Present and permanent Sri Lankan address and contact number.
  2. Your E-mail address.
  3. Proposed UK address and contact number.
  4. Sponsor name (for dependents).
  5. You might have to spend approximately one hour for this process.

Certificate Collection

For applicants with normal test results, certificates will be issued the same day, from 3:00 PM onwards.

Validity of the UKTB Medical Certificate issued by the Medical Health Assessment Centre

  1. This certificate is valid for up to 6 months from the date of examination for applicants who are identified as free of TB.
  2. For applicants who have had contacts with active TB patients or suspected TB patients, the certificate is valid for 3 months.

UKTB Priority Criteria

  1. Children less than 5 years.
  2. Pregnant mothers.
  3. Lactating mothers.
  4. Differently-abled applicants.

Please note down the following documents which you will need to bring for your appointment:

  1. Your Original Passport.
  2. One photocopy of the bio-data page of your passport.
  3. Your letter from Australian High Commission with the HAP number and health examination list.
  4. Please bring all your medical records.
  5. Children less than 16 years old will need to bring their original birth certificate and a photocopy of the birth certificate.
  6. Children less than 18 years old should be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.

Kindly be open and honest about your health when meeting the panel physician as this will best help the outcome for you, your community of origin and destination.

Please take also note of the following information:

  1. You might have to spend 4 hours or more for this whole process.
  2. Wear comfortable clothes for medical examination & X-Ray.
  3. Avoid wearing chains or valuable jewelry.
  4. No fasting is required / please take your regular medications.
  5. Female applicants must not be menstruating when doing the medical examination.

Also please bring the following details, clearly written down on a paper:

  1. Present Sri Lankan address.

  5. Children less than 16 years old will need to bring their original birth certificate and a photocopy of the birth certificate.
  6. Children less than 18 years old should be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian.
